Step into the heart of Florida’s Nature Coast and experience Kings Bay the way it was meant to be seen… slow, quiet, and alive.
This isn’t just a tour. It’s time on the water with a born-and-raised local captain who has spent thousands of hours in these springs. Every trip is guided by conditions, not a script. Tides, temperature, wind, and season all play a role in what we encounter, and no two days are ever the same.
We explore the clear spring-fed waters of Kings Bay, home to manatees, dolphins, otters, alligators, and a wide range of native birdlife. In the colder months, the bay becomes a sanctuary for manatees seeking warmth.
In the warmer seasons, the ecosystem opens up in a different way, offering a raw and diverse look at Florida wildlife.
Our approach is simple. Small groups, respectful distances, and real connection. No crowds. No rushing. Just an authentic experience built around the animals and the environment.
You’ll leave with more than photos.
You’ll leave with an understanding of the water, the wildlife, and why this ecosystem matters.

I’m Captain Joshua Smith, born and raised on Florida’s Nature Coast. These waters aren’t just where I work… they’re home. My roots here go back generations, and long before this became a destination, my family depended on these rivers and the Gulf to live.
I’m a USCG-licensed Master Captain and in-water wildlife guide with thousands of hours in Kings Bay and the surrounding springs. I’ve learned to read this place beyond the surface. Tides, cold fronts, water clarity, and seasonal movement shape every trip. I don’t run scripted tours. I let the water guide the day.
The name Weewahi comes from the Timucua, the native people who once lived along these waters. It’s often understood to mean “home waters” or “sacred water.” That meaning is everything this is built on… respect for the land, the wildlife, and the experience.
This is a different kind of trip. Small groups, no rush, and a focus on what’s real. Not just something you see… something you feel and understand.
